Redmi Announces New K Series for Flagship Phones Redmi made the new revelation on the Chinese website Weibo and announced that the upcoming Redmi flagship phone would be called the Redmi K20. Lu Weibing also said that all the forthcoming Redmi flagship phones would debut under the K series only and like we mentioned above, the executive also clarified that the ‘K’ in the series name would mean ‘Killer’. Interestingly, Weibing had also posted a poll only a day before the announcement asking the public what the phone’s name would be. The options of the poll listed K20, P20, T20, and X20 as prospective names. A day after that, the executive finally revealed the name of the device as Redmi K20. Redmi K20 Rumoured and Leaked Specifications We now know that the upcoming Redmi flagship phone has been leaked quite a lot of times and there is very little left to know about the phone, except of course its price tag. In a previous leak it was revealed that while the device would boot Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box, it would also give the Android Q option for the developers. The main highlight of the phone has already been revealed to be the Snapdragon 855 SoC. The Redmi K20 has also been hinted to come with a pop-up selfie camera. Some other leaks have pointed out that the phone will sport a 48MP camera sensor on the rear side. Since Redmi has already announced that the Redmi K20 will make its way to the flagship pedestal, we are not expecting anything less on all fronts. The Snapdragon 855 is the top-end SoC in the market right now, which will be powering a lot of flagship phones in the market currently. The display of the new Redmi K20 was previously leaked to be a big 6.3-inch AMOLED screen which would sport a Full-HD+ resolution. Some other speculations have suggested a 4,000mAh battery with a 27W fast charging support on this device.
